National Cadet Corps (NCC) at AMPS
At American Montessori Public School, we are committed to shaping confident, disciplined, and responsible young citizens. To strengthen this vision, the school introduced the National Cadet Corps (NCC) programme in 2024. Since then, we have successfully raised two Junior Divisions with a total strength of 50 cadets (30 boys and 20 girls). Every year, we enroll 25 new cadets from Grades 8 and 9—selected purely on merit, ensuring dedication and sincerity in every participant.
NCC at our school plays a vital role in the holistic development of students. Through structured drills, camps, adventure activities, and community service, cadets develop qualities such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, confidence, and emotional resilience. These experiences positively shape their personality, enhance decision-making skills, and build physical and mental strength.
Participation in NCC also opens doors to future opportunities. NCC certificates are valued in college admissions, interviews, and even provide special weightage in defence and paramilitary services. More importantly, NCC nurtures the spirit of lifelong learning, motivating students to continuously improve, adapt, and contribute to society.
At American Montessori Public School, NCC is not just an activity—it is a platform that transforms students into confident leaders and responsible citizens of tomorrow.
